Fall.

Standard

It feels like Fall outside.  I know it’s nature tricking me, but I can’t help but get a little giddy.  Don’t get me wrong, I love Summer.  I love my water sports, hiking and walks.  I love swimming and working in my yard.  Sorry Summer, every year I cheat on you with Fall.  I love the smell of the cool crisp air, of the wood burning and the final cook outs.  I love feeling that evening chill and pulling on a warm sweater or better yet my crisp leather jacket.  I love the sound of my boots crunching through old leaves and the feel of the sun as I wander through the woods.  I love my cup of tea warming my hands first thing in the morning as I watch my breath begin to fog.  Sorry Summer.  I love you, but you get boring and I need something new by the end of September.

So it’s still definitely Summer here in the midwest, we just ended a heatwave and Nature is tricking us with 70’s.  No worries though Summer fans, it’ll be 90 on Friday I think… then back to low 80’s.  I honestly do love warm weather… up until the upper 80’s.  Then I start to get annoyed… if I’m not in water… then I’m in the house in front of the AC.  That’s just the way it is.  I love Fall.  It’s like a break before the Ice Age.

I love Winter too.  I like snowmobiling, snowball fights and bundling up at night to fall asleep.

It’s just nothing compares to fall for me.
